HF Power Limited

HF Power Limited is a concern of Hosaf Group and a subsidiary company of Energyprima Limited. The company was incorporated as a Public Limited Company in 2017 to set up a power plant for the supply of electricity under rental basis or as an Independent Power Producer (IPP) basis in Bangladesh.

Power shortage is a serious challenge to the economic development of Bangladesh. A booming economic growth, rapid urbanization, industrialization and development have increased the country’s demand for electricity.

Keeping this in mind, Hosaf Group has immensely contributed in the critical area of power generation following the establishment of Energyprima Limited in 2008 and HF Power Limited in 2017 with the aim of meeting the acute power crisis in the country and especially for meeting the Government’s vision of “Electricity for all by 2021”. Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) awarded a 113MW HFO Fired IPP power plant project to HF Power Limited for 15 years in Chowmuhani, Begumganj, Noakhali, Bangladesh in 2017 and the Company has successfully commenced to supply electricity to the national grid on 31 December 2019, thereby contributing to the national economy.

Given the current opportunities, HF Power Limited is determined to expand and establish more power plants around the country to meet the government objectives of ensuring access to electricity for all and to make Bangladesh free from load shedding.
